About Me

I have been involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a youth member, volunteer and professional scout for over 25 years. I am an Arrow of Light and Eagle Scout recipient. I was an Assistant Scoutmaster in my boyhood troop for 5 years.

I am a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, have been a long time resident camp staff member (working in most every program area including Aquatics Director), a day camp staffer, and Roundtable Commissioner. I was honored in 2011 by my scouting friends with the District Award of Merit. I have earned my Wood Badge beads as a good ‘ole Beaver and a staff member for W3-55-12-1 (Bobwhite) and W3-55-15-2 (Eagle).

In March 2013, I passed on the wonderful job of Cubmaster after 7th years. I have been an Assistant Scoutmaster in my son’s troop since 2011. I have also been a Program Impact Executive (a District Executive with a special focus) for Santa Clara County Council as well as the Activities and STEM Director for the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council. I am now the Director of Technology for Pinewood School, in Los Altos Hills, CA.

I have two boys in the program. I am so glad that they love Scouting as much as I do!

I love Scouting and hope to share my insights, successes, mistakes and acquired knowledge and goodies with anyone that is interested. I am not the perfect scout and I certainly do not know everything. All I can promise is that I will do my best! Hmmm, I have heard that somewhere before…
